Ghodrat Azizi, Vice President of Engineering

As Vice President of Engineering, Ghodrat Azizi architected, designed and developed the DISTIL game platform. He leads the Engineering team in developing key platform products, including DISTIL's authoring technology. Ghodrat brings over 17 years of extensive hands-on and leadership experience in software engineering, encompassing a wide range of software projects in multiple industries.

Prior to DISTIL, he managed DocumentWare Canada, a consulting company for Electronic Record/Document Management Systems and Case Management Systems. His diverse client list included the Central Bank of Canada, the Government of Alberta, EDS Canada, Correctional Services of Canada and the City of Ottawa.

Ghodrat has worked at several large organizations, including EMC/Documentum Canada, Autodesk Canada, SHL Systemhouse, Tehran GIS Centre and Neda Rayaneh. He has led teams and managed projects in technical architecture, workflow process models, security model definition and software engineering for medium to large scale products, focusing on the fields of GIS, OLAP, DBMS and Document/Record Management Systems.
